Sohini Sarkar is a senior international development professional with over 16 years of experience in a range of management, technical, operational, and strategic roles in humanitarian, transitional, and development programming in economic development, shelter/settlement, protection, governance, health, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and gender. She has worked in complex emergency situations and high-risk environments including Afghanistan, Haiti, Iraq, Jordan, Liberia, and South Sudan. She currently serves as the Director for Capture and Business Development Strategy at University Research Co. (URC), a public health organization working in more than 50 countries. Prior to joining URC, she served as the Director of Technical Services at International Relief and Development Inc., a US-based nonprofit.Ms. Sarkar has a Masters in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India.
